Community Service

Each year, Temple students learn the importance of investing in the lives of others. One ministry that Temple Baptist Church supports on a monthly basis is the Good Shepherd Children's Home in Murfreesboro, TN. The school has held an annual food drive for the GSCH for many years.
The students collect nonperishable items in the fall and deliver it to them during the Thanksgiving week. The Home reports that the donations received are able to help sustain them for several weeks.
More importantly, Temple students learn the importance of seeing a need and helping others when they have an opportunity to do so.
State Fine Arts Competition

The third through twelfth grades competed at the State TACS State Fine Arts competition on March 21-22 at Franklin Road Christian School in Murfreesboro, TN. Students participated in Bible, Speech, Music, and Art categories. TBCS scored enough points to get the Award of Excellence. This was the fourteenth consecutive Award of Excellence for our school. Those Sr. High students who placed first in their categories go on to compete at the national level in Greenville, SC.
TBCS Athletics
The 2023-2024 school year has been a solid year for Temple Athletics. Both the JV and Varsity volleyball teams finish with records better than .500 and brought home several trophies, but TBCS does not base success on wins and losses. Both teams did an excellent job representing their families, our school, but most importantly, the Lord on the court. The future is bright for these young players.
The JV boys basketball season saw the boys finish with a winning record. The varsity team didn't win many games, but finished well in our tournament and did "all to the glory of God."
We are already looking forward to great seasons again next year.
Iowa Assessment Testing
April 2-5, 2024

One of the most important events of the entire year will take place the first week of April. These academic tests will be given at the beginning of each day. It does help your students to have a good night of rest and a good breakfast before they come to take these tests. We are excited to see how our students will perform on these tests this week.
Graduation Is On the Horizon

As we started last year, Temple Baptist Christian School will be having our annual Awards Ceremony at 9:30 AM. The Commencement Exercises for the kindergarten and high school will follow that evening at 7:00 PM. This will be a very special service as we showcase a few things the kindergarten have learned and send off our high school graduate into their bright futures. These exercises will involve the entire student body.
